Here we have the Nataku from Gensoumaden Saiyuki. This one befriended Son Goku against his father's wishes. (Damn! He listens to Li Sei too?!) It should be noted that his father is way worse in here. Sleezy, cheating, sly, etc., and basically, an @$$hole. In this world, Nataku Taishi is the current God of War and the next in line, after his father, to the one omnipotent power in Heaven. Sadly, he seems to be in a coma of sorts. He's pretty much just dead to the world and out of it. It's like he's alive, but not there. *shniffu* I haven't seen the series myself, but based on what I've read and the bits of the openings I've seen, I'm guessing at some point, Goku snaps his friend out of it.

This Nataku, as with the original and Chinese animation one, is VERY young looking. He also looks like a cute kid. ^-^ It's said that he's about the same age as Goku, but I'm a bit skeptical about that. As far as TV portrayals go, Nataku was already a member of the court by the time Goku was born. After all, Nataku was born toward the end of the Shang/Yin Dynasty. That is always a consistent fact. Maybe in heaven years they're about the same age because each day in heaven equals a year on earth, but in earth years, I doubt they're really that close in age.
