I’ll keep the RSS feed from the LJ here, but after I’m done mirroring the 400-something entries off my translation project LJ community, that entertainment blog is going to be an actual mirror to my little translation project.

Basically, just moving into the new place now.

But those who do probably notice that this blog is *really* just for my main web site, which I don’t really use except to throw stuff up onto. It’s kind of more of a miscellaneous updates page that I started including my translations onto.

I’ve been considering though writing a real blog of like just my opinions, reviews, whatever. Like this WordPress I just made to show that I could use the software and could make it pretty. Having the kind of blog I want with the content I want on it, would be quite different from what I have here in that it’d focus on my hobbies and such. I’ll probably end up making it, but I need to come up with a good name and then make a pretty layout for it.

I’d also probably move my translations to that new blog though because I think this one’s more just general and a place for my fiddling works and a “professional” perspective. The other one I want to really make a place about me and my interests and my opinions and my projects.

This is a video from my vacation in Japan. It’s a video of a clip that was playing of a performance that they did in the food court in Odaiba. They kind of just took over the whole mall for a few weeks in August 2010 and there were UFO catcher machines, cardboard standees, a mini museum, exclusive goods, and a whole bunch of GLAY related cool stuff there. One of the things I bought for myself was a set of pajamas. Yeah, I have GLAY pajamas.

This post was just made to test WordPress video capabilities.

This is a test post for the multimedia features of this blog. For that purpose, I’ve uploaded a picture I took of a Krispy Kreme Donut menu I saw in Japan. I think this one was either the one I saw on the top floor of Marui (OIOI) in Ginza or the one I found in a mini-mall hallway down the hall from a movie theatre box office. I can’t remember which. Either way, I was just kind of fascinated about some of the local donut flavors, so I took the picture to take back with me.

I’m trying to figure out what else to do with the blog just because I put my more personal writings elsewhere. I don’t really feel a need to update all the time either, so there isn’t really much that is going to be posted to this blog other than updates to the site. I’m open to ideas though.

Anywho, I added a few additional skills, a volunteer project, and my last work history. I’m open to ideas for more skill listings too. Sometimes when you’re working you forget all of the little things you do that add up to a quantifiable skill set.

As of June 23, 2011 I am officially creating a Word Press version of my page. It’s partly for versatility and added fanciness with ease since I’m busy and don’t always have hours to add new features, and also to show that I am familiar with WordPress. I’m currently investigating different ways to customize this to my liking since as a web page designer myself, I don’t really like to go the easy way and rely on pre-determined templates, but it may take awhile before I can fully understand the code. Additionally, the industry is such that to be competitive, you have to churn out professional looking pages in a short amount of time and cheaply. WordPress is the way to go with that because it is difficult to churn out a professional looking page from hard coding it in notepad with all of the features clients these days would want and for the price that they desire. So I just have to roll with it, but for sure my programming and actual knowledge of how to do great websites with the actual code makes me a better user since I know what’s going on on the back end, and that’s a definite plus!
